It’s our belief every dog deserves a home and a second chance
Mikey`s Chance Canine Rescue is registered non-profit based in the Tri-Cities of south-central Washington State, which dedicated to rescuing dogs at risk in the region and finding them loving homes across the Pacific Northwest. Many of their dogs come from shelters in Washington and Idaho, where they face the possibility of euthanasia. Others are surrendered by individuals seeking medical assistance for their pets, while some are strays who have been abandoned and deserve a fresh start in life.
Mattox Dog Training Academy trains Mikey’s Chance Canine Rescue dogs in the hope for a smoother transition into a forever home and to show potential adopters just how good of a dog they really are. This partnership also enables us to find dogs that fit into our Service Dog Program so that they can then be trained and donated to our first responders and Veterans. Mikey`s Chance Canine Rescue dogs are not kept in kennel facilities; instead, they live in private foster homes where they receive personalized care, socialization, and training. Dogs with significant behavioral challenges are provided with professional training and rehabilitation.
Mattox Dog Training Academy not only partners with Mikey’s Chance Canine Rescue, but actively fostering Gloria and Willow until they can find their new homes. Over the years Mattox Dog Training Academy have fostered 4 other dogs from them to ensure they had a place to call home until they found their person.
Helping Find New Homes for Dogs
Mikey`s Chance mission is to create the perfect match between each dog and their future owner. To achieve this, they prioritize open communication, sharing all they know about their dogs and asking adopters to share relevant details about themselves. Every dog in their care is spayed or neutered, fully vaccinated, microchipped, and treated for parasites, with additional veterinary care provided as needed. Their detailed and thoughtful adoption process ensures that when their dogs find their new homes, it’s a lifelong commitment.

Edwinn
Edwinn is an awesome, energetic weirdo. He’s super sweet and loves cuddles and play time. If you’re not active and like laying around he’s not for you. He’s well-trained and has gentlemanly manners.
Gloria *Currently In Foster Home*
Gloria is currently with a foster but seeking a forever home. She is an adventurous cuddle princess and an outgoing dog who loves bike rides and going to the house for a nap. Loves other dogs, especially males. Just be careful with how much you feed her as she will eat you out of house and home if you let her.
Chase
Chase is the sweetest boy you’ll ever meet. Loves outdoors and wants to please you till the very end. If you are active and have older children, he’s the dog for you.
Tigger *Currently In Foster Home*
Tigger is a great dog and is currently with a foster but seeking a forever home, He is super well-trained, loves bike rides, and wants to please. No children due to his unknown past even though he is sweet. Loves all dogs but please stay away from dog parks. There is no question about it he will be a loyal friend to the end.
Saiga
Saiga is possibly the sweetest girl you’ll ever meet. She will do great with very active people who don’t have other dogs.
Milton
Milton is a sweet boy who does well with most dogs and would do great in a very active household loves all human beings. He would lick your face off and do great in a household with children over the age of 13 with whom he can romp and play.
