About Us
We are driven by a shared Hope - a Hope that extends beyond simple dog training. Our mission is to empower our clients with the knowledge and tools to forge a bond of loyalty and friendship with their canine companions.
A Hope that doesn't stop there. We are committed to giving back to those who have dedicated their lives to serving our country and communities. Military Veterans and First Responders hold a special place in our hearts, and we are honored to support them.
We believe that training and play should be lifelong pursuits. We embrace the Hope of enjoying a lifetime of learning, growth, and joy with our dogs. Through our expert training techniques and engaging activities, we create an environment where you and your dog can thrive together.
Treating Your Dog Like a Dog
We have always felt bad for people who get a puppy and don’t know what to do when it starts acting like a dog.
Dogs aren’t that complicated if you look at them as a dog — not a person. Don’t get us wrong, we love cuddle time
with them, but we are the top dogs here and the focus on pack order and treating your dog like a dog will help them
understand what we and eventually you expect of it.
Creating Best Friends
By starting the right way with your new best friend, you will enjoy having that friend in your home for a lifetime. You
are working towards a rewarding relationship when you train your puppy correctly.
Solid Training
With good solid training, your dog can be one of the best things in your life, giving you their love, trust, and loyalty
beyond words. It doesn’t matter what breed dog you choose in your home. Every dog is different and trainable, and so are you. Here at Mattox Dog Training Academy, we train you too. It is important to us to help you work with your dog so that your relationship can grow together.
We Are Founded on Hope
We believe it’s not just what you say but it’s the actions you take every day. With that Mattox Dog Training Academy was founded on the hope of giving back. We give a portion of all proceeds to Service Peace Warriors who provide Service Dogs at no cost to veterans. We worked with a local police department to donate a Service/Therapy Dog for use in the community. We donate 2-3 Service Dogs a year to our first responders. We also continue working with Mikey's Chance Canine Rescue to keep dogs off the kill list of local shelters along with training and fostering some of their dogs on site.
