About Us
Guided by hope beyond dog training
Who We Are
We teach your dog and you the best way to communicate. As in all relationships, proper communication is essential to success. We offer a variety of training programs to achieve this goal. Obedience training is available for puppies as well as young and adult dogs. We provide specialized training that addresses your dog’s anxiety or aggression and specialized programs to train Therapy, Emotional Support, and Service dogs. In addition, some programs will assist you in receiving your A.K.C. S.T.A.R. Puppy, C.G.C. Canine Good Citizen, and your A.K.C. Urban C.G.C.

Treating Your Dog Like a Dog
We have always felt bad for people who get a puppy and don’t know what to do when it starts acting like a dog. Dogs aren’t that complicated if you look at them as a dog — not a person. Don’t get us wrong, we love cuddle time with them, but we are the top dogs here and the focus on pack order and treating your dog like a dog will help them understand what we and eventually you expect of it.
Bringing Solid Training
With good solid training, your dog can be one of the best things in your life, giving you their love, trust, and loyalty beyond words. It doesn’t matter what breed dog you choose in your home. Every dog is different and trainable, and so are you. Here at Mattox Dog Training Academy, we train you too. It is important to us to help you work with your dog so that your relationship can grow together.
